Humorous speaking area competition
Having won the Leeds City Toastmasters club competition last week, Chris is now moving on to the area competition - facing off against winners from other clubs across Area 15 (which covers South and West Yorkshire).
The area competition takes place Sunday 30 September, from 11am - 4pm, and is open to everyone - tickets are £10, and include a hot lunch.
Worfolk Lectures
While it is by no means a site based on Chris's talks, the online video archive contains a number of Chris's atheist lectures as well as talks on a number of different subjects including Transhumanism and coming soon a talk on mental health too.
Psychics on BBC Radio Leeds
On Monday, Chris was on Wes Butter's show on BBC Radio Leeds talking about psychics. Unfortunately, Chris was unable to correctly predict last night's football results (Chris guessed at 2-0, it ended 1-0), but neither was Psychic Sam who saw a 3-1 victory to England.
If you missed it, you can listen again on iPlayer for the next five days.
Why are people religious?
Next Thursday, Chris will be speaking at the Humanist Society of West Yorkshire on the topic of why are people religious? It is at the usual time and place of 19:00 at the Swarthmore Education Centre.
Three new podcasting episodes
Starting today, three new episodes of the podcast will be appearing. In this series, Chris is joined by Norman, James and Hugh, all who you will recognise from various atheisty things.
Today's episode is on "Profiling Terrorists" and will be followed by "Freedom of Expression" and "Discrimination" on following Fridays.
